What you'll need
Apple and Google have non-negotiable rules about who can publish radio apps and what music licensing they need. To keep your launch on track, please make sure you have these before you order.
Your own Apple Developer account
You must have an active Apple Developer Program account in good standing, registered in your station's name. We publish to your account on your behalf — we can't use a shared one.

An Organisation Google Play account
Google Play only approves radio / streaming apps published from an Organisation (Business) account — not a Personal account. Personal accounts will be rejected at submission.

- D-U-N-S number (free, takes ~1-2 weeks to obtain)
- Verified business identity matching your station's registered name
- Streamerr added as a developer with publishing permissions
Proof of music licensing
Both stores require evidence that you're legally licensed to broadcast the music you're streaming. Without it, your app will be rejected. We'll need a copy on file before submission.
- UK: PPL & PRS for Music licences (or PRS LimitedOnline / Music Service)
- US: ASCAP, BMI & SESAC blanket licences (plus SoundExchange for digital)
- EU: Your local collection-society licence (GEMA, SACEM, SIAE, BUMA/STEMRA, etc.)
- Elsewhere: Equivalent licensing documents for your jurisdiction
If you're talk-only or play original/podcast content with no commercial music, just let us know in writing — we'll handle it from there.
Mobile app questions
Do I need my own developer account?
Yes — on both platforms, and the rules are strict. For iOS, you need an active Apple Developer Program account in good standing (£79/year, registered in your station's name). For Android, Google requires a Google Play Organisation/Business developer account — not Personal. Personal accounts will be rejected for radio/streaming apps. You then add Streamerr as a developer with the right permissions so we can build, test, publish and maintain your apps on your behalf.
What music licences do I need?
Apple and Google both require proof that you're legally licensed to broadcast the music you're streaming — without it, your app will be rejected at submission. In the UK, that's PPL and PRS for Music. In the US, ASCAP, BMI and SESAC (plus SoundExchange for digital). In the EU, your local collection-society licence. We'll need a copy of the relevant documents on file before we submit your app. Talk-only or original-content stations can submit a written statement instead.
How long does it take to build my app?
Once we have your branding, apps are typically built and submitted within a few working days. Apple's and Google's review processes can add another 1-3 days on top.
Can I customise the colours and design?
Yes. The apps are fully white-labelled. Provide your logo, colour scheme, and any design preferences and we'll match your station's identity exactly.
Do I need a Streamerr streaming package?
No, the apps work with any standard streaming host — SHOUTcast, Icecast, or any other stream URL. If you're not already with us, we'll just need your stream details during setup.
What happens to my app if I cancel?
There are no cancellation fees. If you cancel, your app is removed from the relevant app store(s) at the end of your billing period.
Can I update the app later?
Absolutely. Need to change your logo, colours, or add a new stream? Just send us the changes and we'll push an update at no extra cost.
